Government and Africa50 Officials Advance Consultations on Key Road Infrastructure Projects

The Principal Secretary, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, today held a second consultative meeting with an Africa50 delegation led by Mr. Mohamed Sokona to advance discussions on key road infrastructure projects.

The engagement focused on the Thika–Marwa Road Project and the proposed Mombasa Northern Bypass, building on the outcomes of an earlier meeting held in January and exploring innovative financing approaches to accelerate implementation.

Eng. Mbugua appreciated Africa50’s contribution to national infrastructure development, noting that the discussions align with the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

The meeting was also attended by officials from the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), including Eng. Charles Obuon.
