Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, on Monday hosted a high-level delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) led by Mr.George Koshi, Secretary General of Public Infrastructure and Public Works (DRC), marking the start of a week-long South–South Knowledge Exchange Mission.

The mission brings together Kenya and DRC officials to share experiences, ideas, and lessons in infrastructure delivery under the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP), a transformative, World Bank–funded programme reshaping connectivity and trade across the region.

The exchange aims to build stronger institutional linkages, promote innovation, and enhance collaboration in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Kenya’s success in implementing the USD 750 million HoAGDP, World Bank–funded programme offers valuable insights for the DRC team as they embark on similar development initiatives, Security Management Plan for the Connectivity and Transport support Project (PACT).

Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to regional integration, sustainable development, and a shared vision for a better-connected and more prosperous Africa.
