President Ruto Commissions KSh3.8 Billion Ngong Road–Naivasha Road Flyover

Nairobi, June 29, 2026 – The Government’s sustained investment in strategic transport infrastructure continues to transform Nairobi into a more connected, efficient and competitive city, strengthening its position as a regional, continental and global hub for trade, investment, innovation and mobility.
In line with this commitment, H.E. President William Ruto today presided over the commissioning of the KSh3.8 billion Ngong Road–Naivasha Road Flyover, a landmark infrastructure project designed to ease traffic congestion, improve urban mobility and enhance connectivity within the capital.
In his address, President Ruto reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to expanding modern transport infrastructure that supports economic growth, enhances mobility and improves the quality of life for Kenyans.
The newly completed project, now open to the public, represents a strategic investment in the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of Nairobi. Through continued development of modern transport networks and other critical public infrastructure, the Government is reducing travel time, improving access to economic opportunities and supporting the city’s rapid growth.
The Ngong Road–Naivasha Road Flyover was implemented by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA).
These interventions are also strengthening Kenya’s preparedness to host major international events, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), by facilitating the seamless movement of people, goods and services. Notably, many of these projects are being delivered ahead of schedule, demonstrating the Government’s commitment to accelerating development, maximizing value for public resources and delivering infrastructure that directly improves the lives of citizens.
