PS Mbugua Hosts AfDB Delegation to Review Progress of Kenya’s Flagship Road Infrastructure Projects
Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, today hosted a high-level delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to review the progress of Kenya’s multi-billion shilling infrastructure projects at the Works Building.
The delegation, led by the AfDB Executive Director for the Eastern Africa Constituency, Mr. Ronald Cafrire, is currently on a multi-sectoral consultation mission in the country. The visit aims to provide oversight on AfDB-financed projects through rigorous technical discussions and on-the-ground inspections.
The PS expressed appreciation for the AfDB's continued partnership in advancing Kenya’s road infrastructure. He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to close collaboration with development partners and assured the delegation of full support in facilitating technical engagements and site visits in line with the approved mission programme.
During the mission, the delegation will conduct site visits at the Kenol–Sagana–Marua Highway.
The Kenol–Sagana–Marua Highway Improvement Project is a strategic transport corridor expected to enhance traffic flow, improve road safety, stimulate economic growth, and strengthen seamless connectivity across the region and the country.
