PS Roads Leads NYOTA Validation Drive Across Nyandarua County, on 24th October 2025.

Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, today spearheaded a vibrant countywide #NYOTAVerification exercise across all five Nyandarua constituencies: Kinangop, Kipipiri, Ol-Kalou, Ndaragwa, and Ol Joro Orok, reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through transparent and inclusive national programmes.

Implemented under the Whole-of-Government Approach, the NYOTA initiative seeks to validate and authenticate youth records nationwide, ensuring that deserving young Kenyans are accurately captured to benefit from empowerment, skills development, and employment opportunities.

All validation centres across the county recorded an impressive turnout of enthusiastic youth, a clear reflection of growing awareness and confidence in the government’s youth empowerment agenda.

Speaking at Jabini Rurinja Stadium in Kinangop, Eng. Mbugua commended the spirited participation, noting that it showcases the energy and optimism of Kenya’s young population. He reaffirmed that the NYOTA system is a cornerstone of transparency, accountability, and fairness in delivering youth-targeted programmes.

“Through NYOTA, we are building a credible and inclusive framework that ensures every young Kenyan has a fair opportunity to benefit from national development initiatives,” he said.

During his visits to validation centres in Kipipiri, Ol-Kalou, Ndaragwa, and Ol Joro Orok, the PS urged Nyandarua youth to take full advantage of the 1,750 NYOTA slots allocated to the county, emphasizing that the programme offers a vital platform for them to engage in the country’s transformative agenda.

Eng. Mbugua added that NYOTA is not just a verification exercise — it is a movement to empower youth, nurture entrepreneurship, and open doors to skills growth and economic inclusion in line with the government’s vision for sustainable development.
